Guest blog posting is indeed a good way to build audience around blog. Guest blog posts might break that interregnum or writer’s block if you don’t have anything in mind to write for you blog. I used to guest blog post for different blogs. Not only that you gain a wider audience from different people, your expertise in writing on different topics is also honed.

The only thing I lack is guest posting. But my plan is to start guest posting next year after my academic study ends

Awesome tips, Onibalusi!

I build community by visiting and commenting on other people’s blog posts, replying to comments on my own blog, re-posting and sharing on social media venues, and guest posting.

However, the one activity that really helped me, more than anything else, to start building community was joining month-long blogging challenges. I’ve participated in four of them, so far, and I would highly recommend a blogging challenge to anyone who’s struggling to build community and readership.
