i reply my commenters. it shows you have respect and appreciate the commenters.. Anything that will benefit a commenter if he comments ,will always bring in more commenters and quickly build a community.We are all moved majorly by what we can gain most of the time.

I get involved in communities by reading and commenting thoughts of value. I also boost my readership above me in order to help them get to where they want to go and hopefully they’ll come back for me; you know “Leave No Blogger Behind”.

I subscribe to nearly every feed and read just about all of them every day something new is published, luckily not everyone is on a daily publish schedule. I also reward my readers and commentators with link love and a special spot in my side bar for free.

Whoa no no no, never do that. I realize you may be thinking that the blog owner may recognize you and therefore not care about the spamminess of the comment and appreciate you dropping by.

As this may be true, never forget every other commenters on that post that will see your 2 words and instantly decide your blog is not worth visiting.

Getting the owners attention is important, yes; but so is the attention of all others with eyes on you.
