Nice tips, it reminds my own blog when I got my 0 to 3 PR jump only after 28 days! I think connecting with other bloggers really helped me, second think important for me is promotion of articles, because without promotion there is less chance that people get attention to article and mention in on their blogs.
For me good promotion is like getting more backlinks!

Very useful blog – still stuck at 0 and plugging away. My blog is to be uploaded/commenced soon and hopefully I will get stuck in.

Noone seems to write about those very first few new ‘blog’ steps ie like for dummies! Or do they?!

I try to post at least 25 comments on related blogs each day. A new blog is already a PR3 wth just a few days of leaving comments. I expect it to reach PR4 very soon and steadily continue the climb.
