Today at Blogussion, there has been so much going on with guest posting I figured I’d write up a quick post about it all tonight. Guest posting is something you should eventually (if not, immediately) get into when you blog. In short, guest posting is going to someone else’s blog and writing a post for them. The benefits of writing guest posts are you can get exposure for your blog (usually you can add your link in your author bio), a new chance to share your opinions and insights with a new community, and a ton of other stuff.
So basically, we got our first guest poster on Blogussion and Janith and I both wrote a guest post on two other awesome blogs.
7 Die-Hard Ways to Get More RSS Subscribers
A post by Janith at the awesome Blogging Tips blog.
Most of us assume that the number of RSS Subscribers is a direct reflection upon ’success.’ This is relatively true because ultimately your blogging goal is to create a strong readership — inevitably the number of subscribers is a representation of exactly that.
The ULTIMATE “fighting writer’s block” tip
I wrote this post at our good friends from The Blogging Park.
Too many times, I find myself sitting at my desk, blankly staring at the computer screen asking myself “What do I want to write about tonight?”. It turns out I have something that just about every blogger has: The dreaded writer’s block! When you can’t think of something to write about, it’s called writer’s block and it’s not something you can really avoid no matter how much you prepare for it.
Also, if you haven’t noticed, we had our first guest blogger on Blogussion today. His name is Patrick Devivo. He wrote a cool post for us titled “Optimizing the Layout of Your Blog Homepage”. A blog should really have a homepage, maybe from the beginning or even later on down the road. Read these tips for designing your homepage.
Hopefully all of these posts will benefit you in some way. Enjoy!

I’m glad we got into Guest Posting, as we did.
To anyone who is still skeptical about ~ don’t be!
It’s probably one of the most effective methods of getting exposure while helping others.
Treat your hosts’ blog as if it were your own, and write content that you would write for your blog too. Don’t hold back on the wonders of your creativity just because it’s someone else blog!
Congratulations,
Guest posting is a great way to promote your blog and to help other blogs out.
Good luck in the future, maybe you can post one over at PulseBlogger sometime.

I am sure guest posting is a great method to build repo amongst fellow bloggers. Regular visitors of the blog get acquainted with your website and the blog gets new unique content. I would say it’s win-win for both.
Nice post there. I think blogging is a very good medium and though not all but most people prefer to subscribe to the blog if they want to stay updated. I add them to my favorites or bookmarks though.
Thanks for your rocking guest post on TBP
And Janith….I am seeing your post too!
Find time for guest posting. There’s nothing else to it. Just think of it this way, a guest post will bring you more traffic in then a post of your own on your blog. Well, that’s for beginner bloggers only I pressume.
I’ve read both of these posts before you posted this right here. Nice posts.
You guys write better over at the guests that over here
Nah jokes, very well written articles ~ nice work both of you!
PS – Your approaching 50 RSS SUBSCRIBERS :O
Thanks for the responses guys!
@SERPGenius – Well we were, till FeedBurner crashed and burned. Now it says we have 0 subscribers! Hopefully Google will fix it asap.
@Robby G – Your words couldn’t be any closer to the truth. When it comes to guest posting there isn’t anything like it ~ I agree with that statement all the way!
I wish I could get into full swing on Guest Posting but I am having trouble finding blogs in my niche
