hmmm… I’m kinda wondering about the first tip. I am not sure if you are familiar with Site Build It. It’s an all-in-one hosting site which similar to Thesis, it has it’s own customized platform.

One of the features that they have is the SEO checking. And they advice that the url, should should at least appear in the keyword phrases (well at least to what the tool is saying). I was just puzzled though why do we exactly need to clean the url, or the permalink?

Furthermore, WordPress automatically deletes other symbols that is not allowed in permalinks. Therefore, (I’m not sure though) it might not be needed that much.
