This is probably going to be the craziest post I ever write here, but I thought it would be a great idea to do something like this here, as it is just another blogging tip.

Now, I’m all for blogging. All of my websites are blogs as a matter of fact, WordPress specifically. I just think that this post will actually help a lot of bloggers now realize that maybe blogging isn’t there thing at the moment.

It’s hard at first, sure. But, as the statistics show, more bloggers will eventually quit out on their blogs than stick with them.

So without further ado, here is my short list of seven reasons why you shouldn’t blog.

1. It’s Hard To Budget Your Time Properly

Let’s start this list off with the most obvious point. Blogging requires a lot of time, and time is something that is hard to come by depending on your age.

What I mean by “budgeting time” is you are able to spend your time on certain activities equally. So, you can find it difficult to spend an equal amount of time on writing posts, promoting them, connecting with users on social media sites, replying to comments, etc.

It’s even harder when blogging isn’t your only online activity, and you probably have some things to do offline.

2. Blogging Messes With Your Head

Writing posts, and reading posts are full of the same thing. Blogs contradict in almost everything that is written on them. Whatever you write can contradict something you wrote in the past, or even something written on another blog.

It can be hard to know what is right and what is wrong, or even how to approach a problem because of all the things you have read, and how everything contradicts everything else. To some, it can be frustrating, I know it can be at times for me.

3. Interfere With Setting Priorities Straight

Doing what is fun is usually the first thing we all want to do right? We don’t like to do things that we don’t enjoy when there is something to be done that we enjoy.

That’s exactly how it is with blogging. I think blogging is super fun, and would rather be writing a post about how to blog instead of writing the biography of Abraham Lincoln form my A.P. History class. But, like time budgeting, you have to know what needs to be done in order of importance.

4. The Odds of Achieving Your “Success” Are Against You

Whatever your definition of the word “success” is in blogging, the odds of actually achieving it through a blog are against you. Since you are probably not alone in your niche, there s bound to be a ton of other blogs looking for that same success you are.

5. Blogging Can Be More Stressful Than Fun At Some Times

It’s true, blogging is not all fun and games. Sure, it’s definitely fun when things are going your way. But things won’t go your way all the time, and in fact can be mostly bad.

Blogging can get very discouraging if things go wrong too much, and dealing with some of these challenges can just become unbearable!

6. There’s Too Much To Understand

There’s too much to learn, and too much to teach that it all gets really overwhelming! On top of that all, going back to Number Two, there is so much contradictory in blogging that it becomes difficult to actually learn the correct information.

7. May Hold You Back

I believe that blogging can be something that you like to do, but maybe it’s not your “thing.” Maybe you have a bigger talent then blogging, or through blogging, you have discovered a new talent and mastered it from doing it on your blog.

Take me for example. I designed Blogussion, people love it. In return, I have been getting freelance clients, and my design activity has been booming ever since. I can blame having this blog as a distraction from me pursuing my design career. I don’t think that of course, but it could be holding me back for real.

Share your thoughts about this, and if you need to flame me out for kind of bashing blogging, then I will understand!
