Janith, do you by any chance use WLW for this blog? I like WLW, in fact, so much so that as a Mac user I subject myself to using VMWare just so I can use that program.

Here’s a question for you….

Since you spent a lot of time sorting through the archives of plugins, I figured I would ask: did you happen to come across anything that corrects the Image Alt text? Alt text, also ends up attributing Title text (just in WLW), which then provides your image with that yellow popup when you float your mouse over the image. I want to use alt text, but do not want to use title text. WLW combines the two, which is horrible. I’m stuck with editing post-publishing by either adding the alt text in, or removing the title text. It’s the one major flaw I know of with Windows Live Writer.

Please let me know if you happen to know a work around for this! I would be grateful

Windows Live Account is the same as your Hotmail account; it’s just your email you have registered with MSN.

Windows Live Writer is definately safe; I wouldn’t have recommended it otherwise

Haha, so truee! I found myself in the same situation when I first started using it. Half-way through im looking for my word-count, but it was nowhere to be found! This was initial reason for me to start searching for WLW add-ons!

They should include a word-count in a future update on WLW; it’s just something everyone needs =[

Latest version being 3.0.11 or 3.5? I’m using FireFox 3 still and it works for me. Thanks for pointing that out Sean, silly me of not checking across the latter versions too!

Word Count is the first thing everyone should install. It’s like you’d expect it to be there and suddenly it isn’t and you’re wondering what the hell’s going on. It won’t really change your life but it’s a basic little thing that you need installed.

I found that Blog this doesn’t work for the latest version of Firefox. That being said another nice plugin is the polaroid photo one.
