There really is no secret technique leading to success. It’s the extra mile that differentiates winners from quitters. Most people quit. Be different. Let it motivate you that you can be different from all those quitters. You can then boast about your conquest to yourself.

It’s like my dad used to tell me: do what you love. Why start a blog about something that you aren’t passionate about? You’re right, you’ll abandon it!

I agree with your post to a certain extent. I mean, you should put effort into your blogs, but being passioniate is something completely different. Let me use myself as an example, if you would.

During my time as a webmaster, I’ve had a lot of blogs. Some of them I’ve enjoyed, some of them I haven’t. OK, yes, I’m being slightly vague here… let me try a bit harder and cut to the chase

I find that as long as you enjoy some of your projects, you’ll be fine. When I first started, I had a sport blog as that was what I enjoyed. It wasn’t successful, and in the end I gave it up because of this, but I did enjoy it. After that, I went through a phase of starting a lot of blogs that were there to purely make money. I did make a fair amount, but never really enjoyed it, and therefore stopped blogging for a bit. Once I came back to blogging, I’ve realised that as long as you have something you look forward to, it’s fine to have blogs you aren’t passionate about. I have 3 blogs I own at the moment. Two of them I couldn’t really care less about, I only keep them because they make me money. The third (and newest), I’m genuinley passionate about, and when I’m updating the other two, the thought of working on the third blog is what gets me through the other two.

Sorry if that didn’t make any sense at all… I tried my hardest. lol

Most blogs are abandoned because people get the idea that making money on the internet is easy and olny takes 5 minutes to do. Which is not the case – to make money online you need to work just as hard or harder than in the real world. I totally agree that you need to be passionate about what you blog and you will not succeed if you are not. I love blogging , SEO and internet marketing that’s why i blog about it. I found it interesting and as i learn t about it i blogged it

Hey i agree with what you are saying, newbie bloggers think they can start the blog and earn money from the very first day of launching the blog.. i have a blog which when i started, didnt make money for around 6 months
